Research And Assessment

What We Do

Utilizing a range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, we implement diverse research projects in conflict and volatile contexts. For example, we provide in-depth context analysis, baseline and end-line assessments, evaluation, and conflict mapping. Given the often-complex research environment during or after conflict, we work through an iterative research methodology. The mixed-methods research approaches we commonly use include key informant interviews, focus groups, direct observation, grounded theory, and diverse surveys. We adopt a conflict-sensitive approach to data collection and analysis. Our experts come from a multidisciplinary specialization, have practitioner knowledge, and speak Arabic. This allows for the important contextual nuances and cultural implications to be captured in the analysis of the raw Arabic data. This not only ensures the production of effective research outputs but also help translate data into practical programmatic and policy recommendations.

World Vision Needs Assessment

Jouri has conducted a multi-sectoral needs assessment focusing on the sectors Shelter, WASH, Protection, Education and Health. The main objective of this assignment was to identify critical humanitarian needs, priority sector needs for a possible intervention and the presence of other humanitarian actors and services in the targeted locations. The assignment took also in consideration how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the assessed communities. The findings will be used to inform the decision to expand and implement programmes in the targeted locations.
